Bambi Woods (born 1955 as Debra DeSanto or Barbara Woodson in Pierre, South Dakota, USA, North America) is one of the most famous pornographic actresses in the adult film industry, due to her appearance as the title character in the 1978 film Debbie Does Dallas. She is also one of the most enigmatic.

Woods' real name, her date and place of birth, details of her personal life, and even whether she is still alive have been unconfirmed since the mid-1980s. What is known is that she appeared in only four films - Debbie Does Dallas, its 1981 and 1985 sequels, and another film called Swedish Erotica 12, also in 1981.

It has been suggested that her real name was Debbie DeSanto or Barbara Woodson. A 2005 British Channel 4 documentary, The Dark Side of Porn: Debbie Does Dallas Uncovered, employed the services of a private investigator to track down Woods with no success. No record of a woman named Barbara Woodson was found, and no verification that anyone with that name had died in 1986. In this same documentary, Woods' co-stars in Debbie speculate that she simply retired from the adult film business to live a life of anonymity under her legal name.

Publicity for Debbie Does Dallas sometimes claimed that Woods had been a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. For example, a theatrical trailer has Woods stating: "In real life I was a Dallas Cowgirl." This is untrue.

In 2007, the website YesButNoButYes ran an interview with someone claiming she was Woods. She said that her real name was not Debbie DeSanto or Barbara Woodson. She says she grew up "in a town two hours flight out of New York". She moved to New York City to find work as an actress and worked in a grocery store to make ends meet prior to being cast in Debbie Does Dallas. She was paid $400 for the film.

Woods states that she did the sequel Debbie Does Dallas 2 because "the money was just too good and I did have a drug problem at the time". She states that she was not cast for the third instalment but says that a number of scenes were shot for the second film which were not used in it.

Woods states that after leaving the industry she did not deliberately go into hiding but simply cut her hair and dyed it brunette, which changed her looks sufficiently. She says at the time of the interview that she currently lives in California, has been married for 20 years to a husband who is involved in computer software and has two teenage children.

The interviewer openly admitted in a postscript that the interview is uncorroborated, and that he might well have been the victim of a hoax. However, the interviewer admits at several points during the interview that the person claiming to be Bambi Woods provided a number of little-known details which would have been known only to the real Bambi Woods. Also, the article mentions her open-ended offer to have an audio interview (but only if the interviewer made a substantial donation to charity). At several points, she indicated her reasons for going forward with the written interview: to set the record straight, especially in light of the documentary film about Debbie Does Dallas, which she felt contained inaccuracies.
